TABLE TOPPERS
The original 10 MINUTE TABLE TOPPER uses two pieces of fabric.  One piece 1/2 yard x WOF and one piece 1/3 yard x WOF.  Sew the two together to make a tube.  The 1/2 yard piece will circle around and make a border to the 1/3 yard piece.  Fold both ends in and add a button.  We made some changes, though, using layer cakes (10" x 10") pieces cut into different sizes.  By changing the ends, or using more fabric, you can pretty much make any size or design you choose.  Use the ideas in the following pictures or make up your own.  It is a fast easy gift to give anytime of the year.
TABLE TOPPER 1
Layer Cakes were cut into 10" x 5" pieces and 10" x 2 1/2" pieces.
The backing was a 1/2 yard x WOF piece.  The two were sewn together on the long sides to form a tube.  Turn right side out making sure the 1/2 yard piece forms the border on the front side.  Ric Rac was added around the layer cake panel.  You could also use fusible fleece or batting to make it thicker.
To finish the ends, fold the back fabric in 1/4".  Press,  Fold again so it covers the raw edge of the panel.  You can topstich it down or use Steam-A-Seam.
That's it.  You are DONE!

TABLE TOPPER 2
This Topper uses 5 Layer Cake pieces.  Cut each one into two 5" x 10" pieces.  You will need nine of these cut pieces.  Sew the front and back together.
For the ends, fold the raw edge in 1/4" and press.  Fold down each corner and press.

Fold the flap down making sure to cover the raw edge of the front panel.  Secure the folded pieces.  You are done.
TABLE TOPPER 3
Start with the back.  We used 12 Layer Cakes.  They were cut into two pieces, 5" x 10".  The two halves are sewn together to make on 5" x 20" piece.  All twelve are sewn together.  We added Ric Rac for even more interest.
The Front Panel was made from 5 Layer Cakes.  Each piece was cut into five 2" x 10" pieces.  The five pieces are sewn together to make one piece 2" x 50".  Sew the five long strips together.  Sew the Front Panel to the Back panel.  Turn and Press.
To Finish the ends, for the raw edge under 1/4" and press.  The fold the outside two corners in to the middle of the panel util they line up evenly.  Press the folds.  Tack down where the two corners meet up.
Now the TASSLE.  We used ten  1/2"x 10" strips of fabric and  two pieces of Ric Rac.

Find the center and tie it off with another strip of fabric.
Fold in half and gather all the pieces together.  Secure them with thread about 1/2" down from the center.  Tie one more strip of fabric around the string to cover it up.  Tie off the fabric and add it to the rest.  Once it is tied tight, you can fluff up all the pieces.
To finish, we added a piece of Ric Rac over the seam on the ends and then attached the tassle.

All the Table Toppers are reversible, but this version is just as cute on the back.
